Detached Youth Work - Project Co-Ordinator

Starting salary £19,311 +7.5% unsocial hours

You will join and co-ordinate 2 part-time youth workers in a new 3-year detached youth work project with Hyzone in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire: a partnership project with 5 Hamilton Churches, The Big Lottery Fund, South Lanarkshire Council Youth Services and the Church of Scotland Parish Development Fund. Promoting social inclusion you will assist young people to identify their needs; social, spiritual, ethical and personal and enable them to tackle issues including sectarianism and territorialism by developing an issue based programme. Reporting to and supported by the Hyzone Board and Management Committee you will co-ordinate, develop and monitor the outcomes of the project.

The post is full-time and whist a professional qualification in community education, youth work or social work is desirable, experience in detached youth work is an essential requirement.
