That's a very reasonable response, I think. Pretty down the line; there's nowhere that a document is ruled-out, but "omits to mention reason" could well be used to slam the current proposed covenant (and rightly so!).

And then we have the hyper-positive alternative proposition - "concordat" and "celebrate...things in common". I would far rather have such a celebration. not least because the AC is a product of the Church's evolution, not something to be prescribed. That's a great perspective to have on the matter.
