Another response to the Easter Sunday balloon release:
Subject: Thank you !To the members of St Silas Church
On Easter Monday, the 5th April 2010, we got an amazing surprise: a balloon hanged in one of our trees with the wonderful message "Jesus is risen!" It's our 9 years old son who gladly found it.
This message really warmed our hearts, all the more after the wonderful Easter week-end we had with our brothers and sisters in Christ in our local evangelical church. Furthermore, as we saw that this balloon flew about 1600 km from Glasgow to Siviriez (small village in Switzerland), we considered it as a "wink" from de Lord. We were so amazed that we shared this experience with our church the following evening.
May the Lord bless you! Best regards to all of you

I looked at a piece of litter today and got a "wink" from Bertie Bassett :-)

Hopefully there'll be some red, white and blue balloons released on Sunday, billy! :-)
I'd urge everyone who either downloaded (or ,preferably, had the good taste not to ) that Deleterious? Histrionic Zoomer song, to support the campaign to get "Simply the Best" to number one for Sunday. A great way to celebrate the mighty (God's Own) Glasgow Rangers winning yet another league title! And it is a great song in its own right. Surely there's some Tina Turner on the gadgetvicar iPod?

Ryan, apparently "we arra people" is biblical (not sure I trust the source of that though) so surely christians should mobilise.
Apparently the celtic fans are trying to get the Liverpool fans to down load "you'll never walk alone", so surely for the sake of good music alone, folk should combat this. It has all the cheeryness of a calvanist tune sung in gaelic with no supporting music.

Hey Billy
I heard you went camping on Arran with my mate - eight boys and two girls, three cars and a tree for firewood? She says you're a great laugh :)

That sounds right - couple of years ago now. Who is your friend? I thought there were at least three girls there - Genevieve, Sharon and Karen. Hopefully going back this summer to climb on the Rosa pinnacle and the A' Chir ridge - injuries permitting
